SCAPA Quarterly Meeting
March 29 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Saturday, March 29th from 1pm-3pm at the E16 terminal building is the SCAPA quarterly membership meeting! We’re going to hear from Michael Luvara, a local pilot and engineer based at RHV. He’s done some interesting material compatibility testing on the recently adopted G100UL unleaded avgas, which is one of the options to replace 100LL. There have been some really interesting field reports from people who’ve tried this fuel. Mike has met with many of these early adopters, taken pictures, collected statements, and he’s going to share all that with us. He’s also tested how different types of rubber seals and O-rings interact with G100UL and 100LL. These tests are super simple and straightforward, and the results are really eye-opening. If you’ve even thought about using this fuel, you don’t want to miss this presentation. He’s going to share his findings and observations so we can all make informed decisions about using this or any new fuel that comes out.
We’ll have some light snacks and water and we hope you can make it! It really helps us make informed decisions when we have all the information we need.
