Soaring Success: EAA Young Eagles Rally at E16 Takes Flight After Four Years

This last weekend’s EAA Young Eagles rally on July 20th was a resounding success, bringing the joy of flight

to over 60 enthusiastic kids. The event, the first in over four years at E16, was hosted by a dedicated team of pilots and volunteers, and featured five planes (2 C-172s, 1 RV, 1 C-182 and 1 A36) ready to take the young adventurers on an unforgettable journey through the skies.

Each child had the opportunity to experience the thrill of flying, some for the very first time, under the guidance of experienced pilots. The rally not only fostered a love for aviation but also inspired the next generation of aviators, creating lasting memories for everyone involved.

The smiles and excitement from the kids were the true highlights of the day, showcasing the incredible impact such events can have on young minds. We were honored to host this event in conjunction with EAA Chapter 62 at Reid Hillview, whose support was invaluable. A special thank you goes out to the Morgan Hill Kiwanis for generously providing hot dogs, chips, and water, ensuring everyone stayed energized and hydrated throughout the day. Thank you to all the volunteers and pilots who made this rally a soaring success!
