Test your precision flying skills at the SCAPA Food Truck Fly-In Flour Bombing Contest!
Gather a teammate, climb aboard, and see how accurately you can place a flour bomb on target. Whether you’re flying a Cub, a Cessna, a Bonanza, or a Baron, the contest is all about teamwork, accuracy, and safe flying.

Hosted by: South County Airport Pilots Association (SCAPA)
Entry Fee: $20 per team (payable through PayPal during registration)
Advance registration is required.
Team Format
Each entry consists of two people:
Pilot – Serves as the Pilot in Command (PIC) and is responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft.
Bombardier – Assists with target acquisition and timing and releases the flour bomb during the bombing run.
Working together is part of the challenge, and good communication between pilot and bombardier often makes the difference!
What’s Included?
SCAPA provides the flour bombs for the competition.
Each flour bomb consists of a paper sack filled with flour. No homemade bombs or substitutions are permitted.
How the Contest Works
After checking in, all participants must attend a mandatory pilot briefing. The briefing will cover:
Contest rules
Flight procedures
Airport traffic flow
Safety requirements
Bombing run procedures
Scoring
Each team will be assigned a flight order and make a bombing run over the designated target area. The team whose flour bomb lands closest to the target will be declared the winner.
Complete contest rules and scoring procedures will be reviewed during the pilot briefing.
Safety is Our Priority
This event is intended to be fun, but safety always comes first.
The Pilot in Command is solely responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft and must comply with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, ATC instructions, airport procedures, and event-specific procedures.
Pilots are expected to:
Fly within their qualifications, experience, and personal minimums.
Ensure their aircraft is airworthy and legally equipped.
Exercise sound aeronautical decision-making at all times.
Attend the mandatory pilot briefing.
Withdraw from the competition at any time if they determine conditions are unsafe.
There is no penalty for discontinuing participation for safety reasons.

Review and accept the Participant Agreement.
Attend the mandatory pilot briefing on the day of the event.
Receive your flight order and enjoy the competition!
