SCAPA E16 Guest Policy
Purpose
This policy establishes SCAPA member responsibilities for guests at South County Airport (E16), including at SCAPA-sponsored events, to maintain compliance with County access requirements and airport security.
Member Responsibilities
- Members are responsible for the conduct of any guest they bring onto airport property.
- Gate access codes may not be shared with guests, visitors, or any individual who is not an authorized user on a County license account.
- Members must personally escort guests through the gate and remain with them, or arrange for another authorized member to do so, for the duration of their visit.
- Guests may not be given the gate code under any circumstance, including for SCAPA events.
SCAPA Events
- For SCAPA-sponsored events (e.g., membership BBQs, fly-ins), members are responsible for escorting their own guests from the gate to the event location.
- SCAPA will designate a member or members at the gate during scheduled events to assist with escorting guests who arrive without a member present, when feasible.
- Event announcements and flyers will direct guests to check in with a member or designated escort at the gate rather than self-admit.
Authorized Access
- Members needing to add an authorized user for ongoing access should use the County’s process to add them as an authorized user, rather than sharing the gate code informally.
- SCAPA can assist members in submitting these requests to the County.
Enforcement
- Violations of this policy, including unauthorized gate code distribution, may result in referral to the County and/or SCAPA disciplinary action, up to and including termination of membership or board removal.
Questions regarding this policy can be directed to the SCAPA Board of Directors.
