Unleaded Avgas Update with Mike Luvara

Our guest speaker is Michael Luvara, an engineer and test pilot based at Reid-Hillview Airport with a background in telemetry, avionics, and flight test. Mike has been conducting independent materials compatibility testing on the leading unleaded fuel candidates — and publicly sharing his findings to support the safety and airworthiness of the GA fleet. He’ll cover what he’s learned about O-ring, paint, and fuel bladder compatibility, what OEM advisories actually mean for your airplane, and where things stand in the broader transition away from 100LL.
