SCAPA Summer 2026 BBQ

There’s nothing quite like a sunny afternoon with burgers on the grill, good friends, and a shared love for aviation—and that’s exactly what the SCAPA Summer BBQ is all about!

SCAPA is excited to host another laid-back gathering where aviators, friends, and family can connect, catch up, and meet new faces in the South County aviation community. Whether you’re a long-time member or brand new to the hangar, this is your chance to enjoy some great company and delicious food.

🗓 Date & Time:

Grill fires up at 11:00 AM at the County terminal building.

🍔 On the Menu:

SCAPA will be providing burgers, hot dogs, buns, condiments, water, and soft drinks. If you’d like something a little stronger to sip on (beer or wine, anyone?), feel free to bring your own.

🥗 Potluck Style:

We’re keeping it simple and social. To help keep costs down and variety up, we invite you (totally optional!) to bring a side dish to share. Here are some ideas if you’re stuck:

• Appetizers
• Chips & dip
• Potato or mac salad
• Green salad
• Veggie platter
• Dessert

No need to overdo it—we’re aiming for variety, not volume! Let us know what you’re bringing when you RSVP to David Stites, and we’ll send out a running list so we don’t all show up with cookies (though honestly, that wouldn’t be the worst problem).
