SCAPA CalDART is looking for volunteer pilots to participate in our upcoming disaster response exercise on May 30.
These exercises are how we stay mission-ready. They give us the opportunity to practice coordination, test communication systems, and simulate real-world logistics under pressure—so when a real event happens, we’re ready to move.
We’re looking for 5-6 GA pilots who are interested in supporting disaster response operations and want to be part of a coordinated aviation network. You don’t need prior CalDART experience—just a willingness to participate, learn, and operate as part of a team.
What to expect:
- Simulated disaster response scenario
- Coordination with CalDART dispatch and other pilots
- Emphasis on communication, decision-making, and safety
- A chance to contribute to a mission that matters
If you’ve been thinking about getting involved, this is a great entry point.

We need strong participation to make this exercise effective—and ultimately, to ensure we’re ready when communities need us most.
